Cookies Policy

What are cookies? Cookies (not the ones you eat) are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites to remember things about your actions to make your experience smoother and more personalized. Cookies do not contain any viruses or any harmful elements – they are 100% safe.
Why do we use cookies? We and some of our third-party service providers may set and use cookies on our website and/or app for the following reasons:
  • To make our website and/or app function such as with user logins, loading pages faster, recognizing user settings, and securing access.

  • To improve your experience on our website and app just by monitoring what features you use most and making it better for you.
  • To display contents that are relevant to your behaviors on Tribe. For example, if a Member searches or saves a specific content, we use that interest to suggest a course or community that is relevant to it.
  • To gather anonymous analytics about how Admins and Members use Tribe. This helps us to see what works and what needs improvement.
What types of cookies do we set? We and some of our third-party service providers like Google, Meta (Facebook), Apple, Hotjar, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Microsoft may set the following types of cookies on Tribe.
  • Essential cookies: These are the types of cookies that allow our website and/or app to function properly. They are always on our website and/or app because they are necessary for functionality of basic features.

  • Functional cookies: These help us to remember your settings and choices. This may include your preferred currency, language, and notifications. They ensure Tribe is customized to you every time you access it.
  • Targeting and advertising cookies: These cookies are used to show you adverts based on the actions on our website and other online services. These cookies are majorly set by our third-party service providers and are specifically used to market Tribe to you across the internet (for example, if a Member clicks on a course, they may be reminded to take action later).
What other tracking technologies do we use? In addition to cookies, we and our third-party service providers may set tracking technologies like web beacons, pixels, marketing tags, and clear GIFs. These are similar to how cookies work except that they may also be embedded in content, including emails, specific pages, and the website’s HTML or JavaScript.
What third-party tracking tools do we use? We use third-party analytics tools like Google Analytics and Hotjar Heatmap. These tools are embedded with cookies and other tracking technologies (described above) and are used to facilitate our gathering of anonymous analytics data for performance and advertising purposes. This means we may work with advertising networks like Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn to display ads that match your interests based on your browsing behavior across our website and other online platforms.
These networks may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to collect information about your online activities. We may also share the anonymous data we have gathered on Tribe with them. They then combine the data and use it to deliver adverts that are more relevant to you across the internet. Not to worry – this does not involve sharing personal data about you, only anonymous data like your browsing preferences.
You can control how your data is used for interest-based advertising. Most advertising networks offer tools to opt out, such as Google Ads Settings, Facebook Ad Preferences, and LinkedIn's Ad Settings.
